ACKO, an insurtech company, has introduced a feature on its app that allows the creation of ABHA IDs, aiming to support the National Health Authority’s vision of a digital healthcare ecosystem in India. Through this integration, ACKO aims to generate over a million ABHA IDs in the current financial year. This initiative signifies ACKO’s commitment to empowering customers across India with a single platform for accessing their digital health records including insurance at the click of a button.
The ABHA ID feature is accessible to both ACKO and non-ACKO customers, promoting inclusivity in healthcare. ACKO health insurance policies offer the option to create the consumer’s ID. Rupinderjit Singh, Vice President – Retail Health at ACKO said, “ACKO aims to offer a user-friendly platform streamlining the ABHA ID creation process, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience, thereby, empowering every individual to take charge of their health information.”
The ACKO app’s ABHA ID feature provides customers with a secure, centralized location for managing their medical history, including prescriptions, lab reports, and hospitalization details. This enhances health data control, improves communication with healthcare providers, and enables doctors to provide more informed diagnoses and treatment plans.
