Sribhumi Police have achieved a major breakthrough in their anti-drug operations, recovering around 40,000 yaba tablets from a secret compartment of a vehicle. The seized yaba is estimated to be worth around ₹4 crore in the illicit market.

According to police sources, the yaba tablets had been concealed in a specially designed hidden chamber near the rear wheel section of the vehicle. One accused has been arrested in connection with the seizure.

In another major operation, a large consignment of 2,098 kg of ganja was seized at the Damrapara Checking Point in Kokrajhar. The contraband was allegedly concealed underneath bamboo.

Police estimated the market value of the seized ganja at around ₹11–12 crore. Two accused persons have been apprehended in connection with the seizure.

Investigations are underway in both cases to determine the source of the drugs and their intended destinations. Police are also probing whether the seizures are linked to wider drug trafficking networks and identifying other persons who may be involved.
