Assam Strengthens Self-Reliance Drive with CMAAA 2.0 Training in Goalpara

A three-day training programme under the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhiyan 2.0 (CMAAA 2.0) began in Assam’s Goalpara district on Wednesday, aiming to prepare beneficiaries for sustainable self-employment opportunities. Organised by the District Industries and Commerce Centre (DICC), the initiative is designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and entrepreneurial guidance needed to establish and manage successful business ventures.

The inaugural session was held at Baldamari Higher Secondary School and was formally inaugurated by Goalpara District Commissioner Prodip Timung. Addressing the participants, he highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and encouraged beneficiaries to make effective use of the government’s support to achieve financial independence.

A total of 2,352 beneficiaries from Goalpara district have been selected through an interview process to participate in the programme. During the training, participants will receive practical guidance on business planning, financial management, government support schemes, and enterprise development.

The Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhiyan 2.0 is a flagship initiative of the Assam Government aimed at promoting self-employment, encouraging entrepreneurship, and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth across the state.
