Assam’s rising tennis star Fagun jyoti has achieved a remarkable feat by clinching a “triple crown” in the National Tennis Championship Series held in Gurugram , Haryana. Representing the All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) and training at the Excellence Tennis Academy, Fagun jyoti dominated both the Under-12 and Under-14 categories.
Under-12 Category In the singles final, Jyotirmoy defeated Haryana’s Arush Bishnoi.
Despite a competitive match, Jyotirmoy secured the title by defeating his opponent from Uttar Pradesh in a three-set thriller with a score of 1-6, 7-5, 6-2.Under-14 CategoryIn the Under-14 singles final, he faced Haryana’s Arbaaz Khan. Jyotirmoy won the match with a score of 6-4, 6-1 to claim the title.
Doubles Success Pairing with Haryana’s Mira Kothari in the Under-14 doubles final, jyoti defeated the duo of Abhita Kumar and Samriddhi (also from Haryana) with a score of 6-2, 6-3.
With these victories, Jyoti has brought great pride to the state of Assam. Ankush Dutta, the Secretary of the All Assam Tennis Association, has extended his congratulations to the young athlete for this outstanding and consistent performance on the national stage.
