Harley-Davidson has confirmed that it will not increase the price of the X440, despite the recent GST hike on motorcycles with engine capacities above 350 cc. The X440 will remain priced between ₹2.40 lakh and ₹2.80 lakh. Additionally, Harley-Davidson is offering free Roadside Assistance for two years and an eight-year warranty, with specific terms and conditions to be explained by dealerships.
The X440, developed in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp, is Harley-Davidson’s most affordable model globally. It is powered by a 440 cc single-cylinder air- and oil-cooled engine, producing 27 bhp and 38 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike features inverted front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, with disc brakes and dual-channel ABS for safety. The suspension handles rough roads well, but the stiff seat may cause discomfort.
The motorcycle includes a digital instrument cluster with a small screen that offers a dark mode option and ambient sensor. The X440 comes in three variants: Denim (base), Vivid, and S (top-end).
