Also known as ‘Tea Day’, there is a special reason to celebrate this day.

May 21 is celebrated as World Tea Day across the world. That’s why it can be said that today, May 21, is the day of tea lovers. Many people join in the celebrations to make this day more special or indulge in tea parties. In 2005, tea-producing countries united to celebrate International Tea Day. These countries are Sri Lanka, Nepal, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, and Uganda. Later in 2019, it was decided to celebrate World Tea Day on May 21.

The United Nations says yes to Tea Day on December 21, 2019. On May 21, 2020, the United Nations officially celebrated World Tea Day. It is believed that the number of tea drinkers will also increase with the increase in the world population. Tea is very popular in India and China. These two countries contribute 37 percent of the world’s total population to tea. According to a survey, people drink 25,000 cups of tea every second. That means more than two billion cups of tea are drunk every day.
